Another recent thread, reminded me I have yet to do this loop since moving to the PNW two years ago. Any ideas of the best route for a weekend ride starting and ending @ Coleman dock. Clockwise, counter etc. Thanks in advance. Haven't posted here much but have learned much in a short period of time.

There is a good maps library at the website of the Seattle Bicycle Touring Club. Dig around on their site; you'll see a number of good local routes, including a couple of different ways to get around Lake Washington.
Another site to check is Bikely.com; do a search, and you'll see a number of different people's ideas of how to get around the lake, as well as other routes that incorporate all or part of a lap around the lake.
Personally I like to go around the lake clockwise because it keeps me on the water side of the road, with a better view of the lake.
