I picked up my frame (and had a BB installed) today. I have two questions. The first is probably easy.

The frame has three guides on the top bar - obviously the 2 dérailleur cables and the rear brake. Which one is for the rear brake? I'm using tektra mini-V. There is also a round-about adapter on the seat tube. I figure the FD cable does a 180 there.

The second - I have a Sugino double compact crank 50/36 on a 110 BB. I bought a 31.8mm braze-on adapter hoping to reuse a Shimano 600 FD. It turns out the FD only aligns with the inner 36 ring when extended fully. Any suggestions on a FD? The RD is a Deore 8/9 long cage.

Thanks all.

BTW - it seems like a nicely finished light frame/fork at a killer price.

From the drivers seat;

Right side - Front dérailleur
Middle - Rear dérailleur assuming your routing runs down the seat stay. There should be two stops on the seat stay.
Left side - rear br.

There are two screws on the FD? I think the upper one is used to adjust over travel. You might try backing out that screw before looking into another dérailleur.

Congrats on the new bike!

Thanks! It was the limit screws - DOH! Now I'll save the $ by having more parts on hand.

I'm excited about the new build! I did buy some Modolo Morpheous STI shifters that I always wanted to try but may end up using the bar end adapters and indexed 7 speed DT shifters. I have a nice adjustable stem/handlebar combo with Cane Creek SCR5 levers. I picked up new Deore long cage RD, and have a slim titanium rail saddle (a pull), alloy seatpost, and Sugino Compact Crank. I also picked up Crank Brothers blue spindle eggbeaters a couple months ago (another wanted to try) on sale. I have a wider rim 700c 7 speed cassette rear wheel I pulled of a TREK hybrid and a Sun M13II rimmed front wheel. 700 x 35 relabeled panaracer tires. I also picked up some nifty gold metallic tinted Jag brake and dérailleur cabling.
She'll really fit a niche in my stable, capable of some light trail, road. It looks like I could mount a rack, fenders, and studded tires for winter commuting.
Yep I'm excited.
