Hey all.....I'm a cyclist in Leeds, UK. We've just hit Winter here and so i'm finding myself using my trainer more often now.

I Ride an Orange XC bike and a Ridley Road bike. In recent weeks I've had the flu and so have been bound indoors. Anyway thought i'd surf the net and ended up across this forum. Really impressed that there are so many like minded people world wide! We really are a global community huh?

Since looking into Theory i've found myself dieting, weight training and have found this sense of focus. Must admit i was a recreational rider before. Now i seem to have pushed up a gear and feel great. I've decided i can do it so might aswell race! Its quite a disipline cycling at that level and i'm really enjoying trying to achieve that calibre of performance.

Lookin into cycling from a scientific point of view is amazing. Knowing how the body works and how it ends up propelling one so fast on a machine really mystifies. Then coupling that with modern bikes and how they are so efficient thesedays makes for quite an amalgamation.

My cycling seems to have had an effect on everyone i know. Seems it's the only thing i talk about. I regularly have people commin up to me askin for advice. Wether it be bikes for their children or dieting. My advice to people out there would b look into everything the net has to offer. Education! educate urself! But most of all........keep ontop of that saddle and keep at it...............biking is a way of life!
