I thought you all would appreciate this. We have about 40 workers but most of the time we are in the office, about 5 kilometers away. Between the work place and the office is a gravel road with a two pretty steep hills. The vast majority of our workers are great people, they work hard and we have no complaints.
But, whenever we have some new people, I like to check them out to see if they are working the way they should. Enter the stealth bike. You see, you can hear a car coming a kilometer away and know it is stopping - the same is not true for the bike - in fact, you don't know I am there until I am at your elbow.
We had a group of contractors once that weren't accomplishing as much as I expected, so I rode my bike up - and then went down into the finca and quietly walked up to just below them and sat, watching for a couple of hours.
Shall we just say the meeting with their boss wasn't very comfortable for him.
Often game wardens are remarked as being attached to the seat of their truck. What people mean is that the game warden will almost never catch anyone, because people can hear them coming. Imagine if they were on bike? What many people don't realize is that once you get off pavement, the difference in speed between a bike and a car just isn't that much - expecially after you get in shape.
Food bills rise though!
