Every single damn store you go into has a Pinarello Prince fully built haha. I'm so tired of seeing that damn bike when I go in to get some Co2 its damn depressing. One kid at the store had the audacity to tell me that if I was going to look at a Pinarello FP5 I might as well check out the Prince...yah I mean ****, if your going to spend 5k whats 5k more. HAHA.

I was drooling at Hi-Tech Bikes yesterday and there was guy in getting fitted for a REALLY nice Tri bike that left in a HUGE red truck. It was just a little strange seeing a cyclist in this huge gas guzzling vehicle! :)
I'm not sure he was a redneck, but....

You know your in so-cal when you got cut off by a guy driving a Ferrari.

Funny you mention that...

Didn't actually get cut off by a Ferrari but was cycling on a Sunday morning last summer and got passed by a Ferrari, so I thought to myself wow that's pretty neat!, and then they just kept coming.... Turns out it was some sort of car club heading out to drive the canyons. I was passed by a total of 17 Ferrari's that morning, everything from old Magnum PI style up to brand new cars that still had the dealer plates. It was a trip.

If you get out really really early (6:30 to 7am), you'll be fine. Pick up some tail wind through Malibu on the way back at 25mph and you should be good to go. Just wave the cars around ya and watch out for doors opening in your path.

When 99% of the homeowners don't do their own lawns.

Where it starts sprinkling and besides every local news channel doing Doppler 7000 coverage of "STORM WATCH 2008!!," you get everyone on the damn freeway driving like a skittish and blind 13 year-old. On their cell phones.

It has nothing to do with anything political......

For one I think it's idiotic for ANYONE to drive a huge jacked up truck with "Dub-Dubs" that couldn't possibly tow anything because it's too high. It's totally unnessesary and is a complete waste! NOW, for a cyclist to drive this montrosity is 100x worse as we should have a clue. This had nothing to do with the government or the current administration...it may have something to do with the environment as that's seperate from "political" and something we all should be concerned with.

I wasn't going to go this deep into it, but since you brought it up.......
