Does anyone know how I can remove static from a recording? I have the file on my computer in wav format. But I need to remove the background noise / static so I can transcribe the words / voices.
Help? :)

There is software available that will filter unwanted noise out of a recording. There is also equipment that will allow you to view the waveform and to clip out the static, bring the desired voice to the front, and clarify it.
Unfortunately, the latter is quite expensive. I would assume the former is, too.
Sorry for not being more help.
