They advertise "5 hours of energy and no crash." So I tried it this morning. Can you say 45 minutes of energy followed by a pronounced crash?? Truth in advertising apparently does not apply in the realm of energy supplements. I think I will stick with RedBull and Starbucks double-shots.

The 5 hour thing applies only to lab rats, given the same dose as you drank. In order to not crash for 5 hours, you need to drink one of those NASCAR refuiling jugs things of 5 Hour.

the "5 hours" of energy likely comes from the caffeine. It's no differently than any other energy drink.

i agree. they claim to be but theyre not. plus its not as refreshing as a nice tall, cold VitaminEnergy or the like. And I feel like I get more sustained caffeine response from energy drinks. this stuff dropped me like a glazed donut.

Caffeine has a half life of about 4-7 hours in the average person. Problem is, most people drink a lot of caffeine, so the small amount in that drink isn't going to effect you all that much (tolerance...).

Yes.

Although, those 10cal energy drinks (3 servings per can) have about 400mg of caffeine plus all that herbal crap. Those get me nice and wired...

Coffee, ftw +1

I used to drink energy drinks, but they just had too much extra sugar and crap in them, and they cost too much.

The guy I live with has some kind of "energy pills" that he takes before playing sports (he's a goalie, wtf does he need energy?). I'm gonna have to take a look at the label and see what's in them. Probably crap.

I avoid the sugar with the 10 cal stuff, it is sugar free.

The "energy" pills are likely caffeine

Yeah, I tried that 5-Hour energy stuff before sex...still fell asleep 5 minutes later. Save your money.

Yerba mate, because corporate coffee tastes like fail and oppression. caffeine kick + copious antioxidants ftw

I always wanted to try that, but I think most energy drinks taste like garbage.

Coffee, yay

My energy drink is 8-18 hours of good, solid sleep a night. I drink coffee rarely because I enjoy it and I can use Ricco Latte's WiFi. :D

I'll stick to my 22oz bottles of NOS....great stuff.

I've used it 2 or 3 times, and I firmly agree with the 5 hour thing. It gave me one hell of a buzz, and no crash. If you're a serious addict of stimulants, then your body will have a tolerance. But mine doesn't, because I almost never use such things.

Man, you people are gonna die. Like, sooner than usual. Your heart's going to explode, or your brain will just give up from being pumped full of so much druggage.
