Eastern Canada - Anybody recommend a route from Toronto to Gravenhurst?

I want to plan a ride from Toronto (Keele/Bloor if that matters) to Gravenhurst for late summer, as a goal ride.

I figure taking n/s roads (likely west of the 400) up to Barrie would make the most sense, but beyond that point, I have no idea what a good route would be. Even for the portion through to Barrie, I don't know which roads are preferred.

Can anybody advise a good route they have taken between Toronto and the North? I'm not looking to minimize kms, but rather maximize enjoyment of the trip.

I would likely expect to make the trip in one (long) day, rather than camp out en route.

Thanks,

David

He went all the way up to Bracebridge. I plan to follow his route sometime this year.

Thanks for the link - it's perfect for me - it starts about 1km from my house in TO, and passes right by my expected destination along Doe Lake Road, just E the Gravenhurst Prkway. With all the extra kms (compared to taking 400/11), I don't think I would be able to do it in one day.

I found this route too:

It's quite different (even considering the different starting point).
