I currently run the WTB Lazer V and Lazer V Stealth saddles on my mountain bikes, and absolutely love them. They fit my anatomy better than any saddle I've tried. I'm considering a WTB saddle for my road bike - the "Rocket V Stealth":

Does anyone have any experience with this saddle? ThanX!!

I was also looking at the Rocket with interest. My Terry Liberator was not comfortable on long rides, and I found a WTB Speed V at REI. It's much more comfortable, and I've been waiting to try out a Rocket.

Funny you should mention it. I love my Selle Italia on my road bike but once I tried a friends NRS with the rocket saddle I decided to buy it for the MTB I'm building. It is CRAZY light and even fits my girly butt (Two snaps up).

I say go for it, though I don't know what its long term performance is. Check out mtbr.com, maybe they have some reviews.

Mine should be at the local REI store on Nov 22. I'll be evaluating it as much as possible after that.

Excellent! Please let me know your initial impressions after a few rides.

ThanX!

Got mine today and mounted it. First ride is tomorrow. I'll let you know how it feels.

You already have it right. I ride a 02 Serotta CSI with all Campy Chorus. At the suggestion of my LBS (BikeSource in OP KS) I went with the Lazer. 6500 miles later I still love it. Super comfortable, just the right amount of padding, and no numbness! BTW I am a Clydesdale (210 lbs) and have had serious numbing issues in the past with more "road snobby" saddles.

Well, bac, I've got some miles on my Rocket now. I only feel two tiny contact points where my bones sit. It is narrow enough that I don't rub on it, and the curvature is right for me. Since getting it, the WTB Speed V I was using is not as comfortable anymore, since I contact it over a wider area. I like this saddle, and will be getting another one for my other bike.

WTB's are the most cush saddles. Everyone I know that rides them loves them. Look underneath, the shell is SUPER flexy-which is the key to the comfort.

I always recommend 2 saddles to people who have issues, the WTB's and Terry Fly's.

Hey!

I've got a WTB rocket V saddle I was going to ebay. If anyone wants it let me know PM-style. The catch? Its the chrome colored one that came on my Bianchi Pista. You can check it out on Sheldon Brown's site or I'll post a pic if anyones interested.

How does the shape compare to the SST. I have an SST on my MTB (love it), I am wondering if a WTB would be good for my road bike.
