Found this New Old Stock - complete bicycle with packing wrapping paper, tool kit that is still in paper bag, unused light and horn.

Check out the Ad and then see the other pictures as the proof that they actually produced this bike.

Enjoy

Hello,

Answered a CL ad for His and Hers 1964 Schwinn Collegiates. Went to get the Schwinns and the guy had this bike hanging up in the basement.

Know anything about this make bike?

Other than the ad I found, there is very little information on the net.

Thought it was very cool and unique so I bought it.

I gave $250

I thought it was worth at least that much since it's basically new and I never had seen another.

You might drop a note to the guy that runs http://www.foldingcyclist.com , I've been exchanging
email with him recently and he is quite keen about the history of folding bikes. He might know some
more about your bike.

Haven't ridden this bike. I dont think the tires have ever been inflated. 1959 and NEW. Maybe I'll try it out in the driveway on the next warm day...

20 x 1 1/2 DNB Sport Tire.
The tires still have paper Inspected By tags one them. As well as each pedal.

The rims are stamped Araya.

A remarkable find and a remarkably well-designed fold. I dislike very much many of current-day folds; they are often desiogned such that the F anf R axles line up, resulting in a wide distance between the wheels. Far better if the axles do not line up so the wheels can be closer when folded.

Hey Sammyboy,
Got it out over the weekend and rode it around the driveway. Decent ride. A little rickety with all the clamps ad narrow bars but rideable.

Wouldn't take it on any long treks but would do fine for a mile or two.

Do you still have your NOS DNB? I am so glad that they posted so many detailed photos on the Folding Cyclist site.

I bought one of these today. It needs a little welding work at a couple of key points, so who knows when I will get to it.

Mine looks like this:

Hello,
Nice find. The only other one I've ever seen was at the Ann Arbor Classic Bicycle Show. It was about 60% complete. I had mine on display that year and talked to the guy that was riding his around the fairgrounds. I still have my bike and display it once in a while but rarely unfold it. Good luck with yours.
