We're in the beginning stages of developing a community bike project.
Our mission is to teach fun, affordable bike repair to people of all backgrounds focusing on neighborhood youth and community members by providing tools, instruction, and repairable bikes and parts.
We're currently looking for other people who'd like to be involved in putting this project together or donate used and new parts, tools, or bikes in any condition.
Organizational meetings are every other Sunday. Send me a message or respond to the thread if this sounds like something you'd be interested in. The next meeting will be on Sunday April 20th at 3pm.

I'd be interested in learning more about bike repair.

If you're serious about 'any condition' I have an old '92 era trek bike frame. I think the wheels were pirated for some other bike.

sorry it's taken so long. I've been MIA for a month or so. jodycb, we are serious about the "any condition." If you still want to donate the bike, we can work that out. I've been picking bikes up from people's houses or places of work, but soon we may have a workshop space of sorts in downtown rochester that you could drop the bike off at. If you're not in the rochester, NY area, than we might be able to work something else out.
also, thanks for tip about blue bikes.
