So what's the consensus on a strategy for surviving a front wheel flat on a high speed descent? Never had the "pleasure" although my instinct would be to have my stoker stay clipped and leave the "driving" to me.

Nothing sudden. Steer as straight as possible. Don't jam on the brake. Worst thing that can happen is the tire seperating from the rim,and jamming up the wheel. Braking and turning forces increase the chance of that happening. The bike will slow anyway given the added rolling resistence..

Slowly apply the rear brake, remain loose, and hope for the best.
