Hello all,

I am looking into starting to commute, and I have a nice Dinotte tail light which is just fantastic. However, being the paranoid person I am, I don't want it to be stolen.

However the mounting mechanism, which is great if you want the light permantly on the bike is quite hard for me to take on and off due to the high tension in the rubber bands. So, has anyone figured out an easy way to take the light on and off?

The light and mount and currently connected directly to my seat stem.

Thankyou for any ideas in advance.

Just pull harder.

Really, I don't know any other way to say it; just stick your thumb in the gap between the o-ring and the housing, and pluck it off.

I hope I'm not wrong, but I doubt anyone would steal the mount. I agree it is firmly installed once it is in place. I would suggest you consider leaving the mount installed and just remove the light from its mount, which for me is very easy. I just use my thumb and roll the O ring off the light. Good luck.
