I didn't lose. I actually beat the second place guy. Woohoo!!!!
Oh, I was in the cat 4/5 race. It hurt. I still hurt. I'll probably still hurt tomorrow.
That is all.
*link to race report tomorrow.

Hurt = good :) Glad you had a good finish and kept it rubber side down.

Thanks. It was my first win in two years (not counting mountain bikes). It felt awesome!!!
And his sprint looked good. Must be the bike.

Oh, I was going to interpret "didn't lose" as "won," but I didn't want to go there in case I was wrong. I guess I missed the 2nd sentence there
CONGRATS!

Thank you. I actually added the second sentence after you replied. I figured it probably wasn't that clear and I didn't want anyone to misunderstand. Winning is very rare for me, I want to enjoy it for as long as possible. :D

Congratulations! Well done.
Lots of BF winners of late. Slowly replacing BF whiners, though I am still here.
Way to go! Looking forward to the report.

Congrats! I bet it felt pretty damn good!
From standing on the cone, you threw the bike better than he did, which is why you won. But you did make up some ground on him and had a nice sprint.
Again, you looked good!

I think that it was the jersey that a) made you "look good" and b) caused you to win.

Great Job Bruce!!
Thanks everyone, I appreciate it. Here is my poor attempt at a race report (http://lowcel.wordpress.com/). Please excuse the length (botto don't bother). ;)

It would take a lot more than a jersey to make me look good.
I wanted to mention that Tym put on a perfect race. The corner marshalls were awesome and our motorcycle cop escort was perfect. He would go into the other lane to make sure that the oncoming traffic would either slow down or pull off. The prizes were even nice, I got a pair of Kenda Kaliente tires. I was very impressed.

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. I know I threw the bike as hard as I could, I seem to be getting pretty good at that. When you don't have a sprint you have to figure something else out. :D

Reading your report, being aggressive is key. It's strange that the races are actually easier when I ride more aggressively.
Great work.

congrats lowcel. I got 2 friends that got 1st and 3rd in the 5's. the 3rd place guy did it on a 46 front ring with no big ring.

That is very impressive of your friend, so did he do the climb with the 46 or did he have a small ring also?

I like the 3rd picture, in the background the guy in 3rd is so tired, he's looking over to see if he has 3rd locked up or not!
Love it-
