I wanted to post the agenda from the first bike club meeting, and here it is. It covers most of what we discussed in the alloted hour...
Key Dates-Spring Quarter
April 22-Earth Day! We’ve been invited to work with the Sustainability Committee to promote alternative transportation, so we're going to do something cool and fun and bike-related. Details to follow...with your help!
May 1-Kick-off day for the IT Bicycle Commuting Contest. We want the SPSCC to field a good-sized team; I think 10 people is very doable. IT is providing prizes for miles and days logged, and the club is going to offer prizes as well! I want to hold some fun bike event(s) that day as a kick-off-maybe a tiny bike race, ugly bike contest, etc.
May 15-Club Fair, in the SUB. Each club sets up a table to promote its agenda and recruit new members. There's a prize for the best table, and I've got a great idea I'll spill at the meeting.
June 5-End of the Bike Commuting Contest; Awards Day; Bike-athlon, Part 2 More fun-n-games on two wheels-whatever we didn’t get to do in April or May!
Other Agenda Items:
· Member survey(handout)
· Website/Listserve
· Repair/Maintenance clinic
· Trail group ride
· Road group ride
· Graphic designer for logo
· Resource list (bike clinics, repair shops, other clubs, bike maps, etc.)
· Commuter survey
· Infrastructure/facility upgrades
· Bike-athlon events
· Frame-building class?
· Low-cost bike helmets
Free Bikes, Parts and Repair Help:

So you can see why we're meeting every week for the next month. We've got a lot to do, never mind work out the format and logistics of running everything. I'm thrilled! Hopefully it'll keep me from browsing Craigslist too much ;)
