Hi,

I'm probably going to buy a Ritchey Breakaway steel road frame. I test-rode one today and checked out the coupling, everything looks great.

The shop claimed it was a 2006 (I didn't buy it). The frame was completely blue with just white lettering, none of the current detailing. Anyone know what year they looked like that?

When I rode it, the cable connector on the rear brake cable clanged against the top tube whenever I hit a bump (OK fine, also when I was doing bunny hops to see if the frame felt secure). There was even a little scratch on the tube there. Anyone who rides these have this problem?

thanks!

I have a Dahon Flo with the same problem. A small piece or rubber tubing, or that curley cable wrap should stop the noise.

You could also refit the cable connector, using a new inner wire, so that the connection point is as close to a housing stop on the frame as is feasible. That minimizes clatter too.

I beleive the Dahon Tournado is the same bike.I hope they are giving you a discount on a 2006.Have you checked out the Dahon Tournado?

They were willing to give me a $100 discount on what they called a 2006, but I think (from the paint style) it was earlier. It was also pretty heavily test-ridden, almost used. I didn't buy it.

I only want the frame, and I've only seen the Tournado as a complete bike.
