Well I have decided that this past saturdays route is a winner. So I will be doing it again this saturday. I wont stop to eat this time, but will stop for refill of fuel and water. The weather is looking to warm up next week. If it changes I will cancel the ride, otherwise I will be doing the ride. Cant make it? No worries, Ill be doing it again the following weekend.:D No better way to get stronger then to keep pushing.;)

Now that I know what to expect I can pace myself better.

Does that mean your in?:D
I was thinking the same thing. Easier pacing on the downhills, save energy for the climbs. Refuel as soon as we hit 9 coming out of Big Basin.
Well, if you're going to do it every week, I'll have to give it a shot... someday. :)

Well once it is feeling easier we will add in Jamison.

Looks like I'm out for the rest of the month on this one with work (good thing I guess). That was a great route and a nice change of scenery for me. That hill (Zayante) was steeper than anything I normally encounter up in Marin. Hopefully you'll still be doing this come May so I can tackle that beast again.
Is that all you guys got? Don't forget to add in Alpine on the West side while you're at it... ;)
PS - You guys are psycho.

Jamison is fun!
Going up Jamison and down Alba would skip the most trafficed parts of 236 and 9. It'd also add enough climbing to get the ride to around 10k feet. I only had 7700 for saturday's ride but that's on a Polar which is known to read low.
I've got races or other stuff going on for the next few weekends so I don't know when I'll be able to do this ride again.

I'm tellin' everybody 8428
Decisions decisions. I had given the thumbs up to the odd bike ride in SF however I do need the training mileage.

I'll do it, although my derailleur hanger is bent leading to skipping in the lowest gears. Will I need them? I'll probably do it anyway because my lowest gears a 30-25 and a 30-23. Everything else works ok. This week is shaping up to be brutal.

Well in my opinion, no. But thats me, I ride with a standard double where my lowest gear is a 39-28.

You are starting right in my backyard... I don't think I'm ready for that much climbing right now though, so I'll have to take a rain check.
I'll join at the top of Hwy 9. Around 10:30-11? I'll probably cut out at Bear Creek and Skyline and head left back down to Boulder Creek.
