The Tomasso - I bought this at the Chicago Swap Meet for little $$. Fits and takes over the old role of my fixed gear. Sold everything off of it and ended up not spending very much for the frame <$50. Good deal.

I enjoy classic rigs, but none usually get a real reaction out of me. For some reason I actually did a sharp intake of breath when I saw this one. That is a very beautiful bicycle. There is something about it. That's a once in a lifetime kind of bike. Congrats.

Thanks,
In person it's not that impressive in construction. It's pretty much an Italian Raleigh Record. I touched up the paint and replaced one of the decals thanks to another forum member. It's an old, cheap, bike. But it's an old, cheap, Italian Bike. :D
I swapped out the French Derailleurs for old low end Campy, and I re-wrapped the bars in white cotton. Also put on the clips and straps. Time for a new picture

That makes it better. Nice rigs are nice but...not to sound overly dramatic, that bike has soul. can't explain it. Just one of those things. My Tomasso is the same kind of deal. A total cheap, beat up run of the mill low end bike.....and yet I came back to it 3 or 4 times during the show and actually bought it off the owner as he was walking it out to the parking lot. It spoke to me

I noticed this one right off too!, not into the fixie thing, but this is a sharp machine.
The Bottecchia had it's own thread in C&V, a standard Identification thread. I ended up getting it shipped from Wisconsin on the back of a buddies RV. Building it has caused a serious case of O.C.D. Now I need a pair of Universal gum hoods to replace the Dia-compes.

hyun,
They ship the SLC with rubber cement so you just spread a little on your tires and it stops the bike from floating away, it's that light. They can't fall without you pushing them down, ... and you have to push pretty hard.
Despite the bike I remain slow. :(

2000 Airborne Ti Carpe Diem. The 'paint' job is a true anodization - no paint or pigment. Electric currents are applied and the Ti forms various oxides (Ti rust) in different colors. Very subtle but beautiful. It is built up with XTR/Ultegra (c. 2000). It actually is my wife's first bike that I built for her when she received her 2nd level black belt - hence the oriental motif. – TF

Too small for you. The frame is a 55cm c. 1999 steel Bianchi Reparto Corse. Campy CS. I built the wheels from a pair of Torelli rims I found on eBay with Phil rear and King front hubs. The rear rim was originally 16 spoke, but I drilled 2 holes between every other spoke to get the 32 holes I need. BTW, the left side no longer looks as good as the picture since I crashed (hard) at the Northbrook track. - TF

Pretty close to me because I have run across him on the trails during the winter months before. I recognize the rig.
Usually riding with a few other guys if I'm not mistaken.
Also....if that is you then what do you think of "canoe boy". That's the affectionate term we've resorted to giving to the guy riding the bent with the full yellow fairing/enclosure. I know I have seen both him and you guys on the same days before.....
