Well, I have all the components put on except for the wheels. I did a real dumbass thing yesterday. I was cutting the brake housing when I realized I hadn't removed the cable first...****, now I have to stop at the LBS tomorrow to pick up a new cable...what a dumb ass. Anyhow, here is the latest pix

Nice, i'm about to embark on a similar project with a brodie frame, any tips? i am wondering in which order to get the parts + i'm thinking of getting them second hand. I think the photo would look better with the wheels on. its amazing the difference it'll make;-)

Whoopses happen. You feel stupid at the time but it's an all too human failing :p

Very nice. The red bar tape looks good. Don't know what tires your going to go with, but from personal history, the Michelin Krylion Red will match that tape color perfectly.

That looks nice. I'm curious about the frame, what led you to the leader frame, and how is the craftsmanship on it What does it really weight and does it all liner up right?

ooh Jax...I will have to go check out those tires. As far as the frame, It was a craigslist purchase, the craftmanship from my limited knowledge appears to be good quality, the welds are smooth, paint seems to be decent. I have no idea of the weight, you can probably check out the specs on the leader website.
All components are new, I found them on ebay, craigslist and the forsale forum on bf. I have found a wheelset, 36 spoke handbuilt on ebay I am looking at.

Jax, are the michelin's durable tires?

:roflmao: I worried about doing that when I was putting my bike together. Anyways, looks good so far. I think Pro 2 Race comes in red also. Conti GP 4000 also comes in red.

I have had really good luck with the Michelin Pro Race 2's

They come in a variety of colors, if that's what you are looking for.

The Krylion's are fantastic tires. I had a set with 1200 miles on my Specialized that looked brand new. They ride very nice and held up to my fat butt really well, great grip even in wet weather. Only flatted once, large finish nail, but a warning, they are Michelin, known tough tire to mount and remove. I found them fairly tight, but not a real problem to mount on my Mavic Reflex rims, but a complete PIA on my Velocity's. So much a PIA, I opted to go with different tires on them. I got the Maxxis Xenith Hors Categorie, so far find them very similar to the Krylions and a breeze to mount and removed. Time will tell on the durability and flat resistance.

Also love the krylions. I have 700x23c and was able to mount them on my open pros with no tools by hand with no trouble at all when they were brand new. After being mounted they go on and off super easily!
