I know this has probably been asked a hundred times but I am new to Tx.
Made the pilgramage to Alkek Velodrome from Clear Lake City Saturday.
It was closed. I asked a few locals in the park and they told me that the velodrome never opened.
Anyone here know any different?
Thanks,

It's just coming out of winter schedule. Now that daylight savings in in effect it should get busy now. Her is a link.

Good old elitist bike racing in action. I've been there on a few occasions, and it's been closed. Effin Jeepers, it's made of concrete... let people ride it!
THANK YOU!!
I was thinking the same thing.
It's a concrete bowl so why the fence.
Just out of curiosity I walked around the fence to try to get a view of the interior when out popped four or five kids with skateboards.
If I could have jumped the fence with my bike I would have joined them.
