View Full Version : For Men Only...

As you know, Women have several special TV channels just for them. It's not that Men can't watch them, it's more like you couldn't get them to watch them
for any amount of money, because Men are not portrayed fairly, not really. You can usually expect the Men in those shows to be ignorant, stupid, or downright Homicidal Maniacs Who Suck Blood and Eat Babies.

I Protest.

Well, anyway, I thought since Women have the "WE" (Women's Entertainment)
channel, Men should have their own Men's Entertainment channel, "ME." I was looking for input as to what programs/movies the "ME" station should air.

Any opinions?

:D

I don't own a TV,but I'd think that any sports channel would fit into the ME slot.

The "ME" channel. :D
Good movies.
No commercials unless they are funny and entertaining.

Sports suck!

The only sports should be bicycle racing and maybe an occasional baseball game or soccer or rugby match.

Have you heard of "Spike TV"? It is a cable channel for men.

I agree with SamDaBikinMan 100% except for the following shows: Baywatch; I Dream Of Jeannie; All In The Family; Nascar's Greatest Moments; Football; Sports news --unless it's related to sailing and bicycling; The Women Of James Bond; and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Contest. Other than these few shows, Sam has a terrific list!

I enjoyed watching those Scottish sport contests, you know, where Hugh Jock throws a giant pole, then a giant rock, then...you get the picture. Now this is sports, for me. (They did have female contestants, though they did lighter work.)

Another Bennie Hill fan. I used to love the late night BH programs but have not had the pleasure in years. Not shown in our area anymore that I know of.

I have never seen Baywatch but I could definitely go for Benny Hill, Monty Python, and sports that are not always on ESPN like cycling, rugby, or Ultimate.

Gotta have a fix it show in there somewhere. How else are we going to know how to fix what we tear up?

Nothing but naked cheerleaders taking hot, soapy showers. Yup, the ME channel! I'm all for it.

How about a show where really hot women are scantily dressed and cook "man food"? It would be a lot better than Emeril...

It seems sex and sports are much in favour here. If it were me, I'd program, in roughly equal measures, sci-fi, anime, comedy and hard-core pornography, or any combination of the above.

I guess I would make the channel some sort of interactive-looking(but not really interactive) hodgepodge of good experiences of the best video games, like hack, pacman, poker, etc...
What is tv good for, past the point of recovery of one's mind and consciousness, especially in today's world?

I'm with you.

Anyway, "Nascars greatest moments?" What are we going to fill the other 55 minutes of the hour with? isn't it all just drive down the straight and then turn left? :D

Actually I am not that big of a baywatch fan, just seemed to fit the ME tv since it ia a lot of T and A.

I like Benny Hill more than any of them. Since I only really look at TV late or just when I wake up that is when I programmed nothing but Benny.

How about Drag racing? Then you don't have to worry about those nasty left turns. ;)

I agree, Nascar is pretty dull, perhaps LeMans would be better.

Porky's was literally one of a kind. Somehow it had a sort of class while hitting many a nerve of some of us in the male species who have gone through puberty/adolescence.

There have been many imitations, but none hit the mark like Porky's!!

.
I think MsVickie's comment with a smiley face was, from a woman's point of view, quite eloquent and does not qualify for a DBP listing.

My concern is that she would deliberately intrude into a "For Men Only" thread with her feminine sensibilities. After all, us guys never intrude on the Women's page to enlighten the fair sex with our enlightened mores, do we?
