If so, who's President? Who's Treasurer? Who's got the worst job of all -- Membership Coordinator?

Where are the meetings? How often? Is food provided?

How much are the dues?

Do members get a list of other members?

Is there a membership card? Secret handshake?

Does Club Tombay do any lobbying?

Is there a website?

There have been no meetings for quite a while due to a falling out within the staff!

As I have been riding MTB's for 15 years and road for just under 2- I am one of the Oldest members of Club Tombay. Even fell off without clipless before I bought them. There is a U.K. meeting house- and it is Fusciardi's on the Seafront in Eastbourne. Food is provided- but I am afraid it is high in sugars to enable the members to recover from their latest episode. Membership cards are not required as the Scarred kness and elbows show you are a member. The secret handshake had to be banned as too many newer members- that had not learnt to fall properly- were not washing their hands after the falls- and although it looked like Brown Mud-The other members were loath to give the handshake and get covered in the detritus that was not only on the hands- but the rest of the body and clothing.

Up till now- It has been run on an ad-hoc basis- no regular meetings and no presiding officers- so it is up to you to delegate the jobs to current 50+ers. I would volunteer- but I have not had a fall for several years and am a bit out of practice.

Attachments are of the typical fare available at meetings (note that pie is available)-and a view of the seating area. (New members are not allowed inside until they learn to fall properly- due to muddying up the carpets and chairs)

Sign me up for membership...I just can't seem to get this thing figured out. :( I fell again on Friday, although I have not fallen in the mud, and I wear gloves to keep my hands clean for the secret handshake. :D This one was particularly embarrassing as my wife and her friend witnessed the horror show. It seems as I was leaving our neighborhood and coming to the busier street I unclipped the left foot to rest on the curb of the center divider as I was in the left turn lane...then I see my bride coming from the right and I wave...and then lean too far right...and well...the rest was not pretty. And the real sad part was that on Friday we had a stage of The Redlands Classic run through our fair town and the bike riders were everywhere. Fortunately the only witnesses were my wife, her friend and the other cars in the area, but I had to go about my ride with the obligatory skinned knee and bruised ego. :(

Some are worried that membership is falling off.
