I have a XT V-Brake attached to a Manitou Black Elite 2004 fork. The XT Brake is very powerfull and causes flex on the fork legs - about 4 mm total. I just added a fat Brake Booster and the flex is decreased to 2 mm total, but it still exists... You know - the revesre arc technology... The arc is on the other side and it is not helping to keep the legs parallel... What do you think - can I continue to use this brake/fork combination or it is dangerous for the seals and other fork internals ? My LBS suggested to move to disc brake, but it is a very expensive upgrade for me - I have to trash an almost new XT front hub, DT Spokes and XT V-Brake and buy a new Disc Hub, Spokes, and Avid Disc brake...

haahhaah 4mm of flex is nothing. When i was running my sid 100 i got massive flex. I would say almost 1 cm and i felt that on fast turns. You should be fine as kleinmp99 stated
