I just bought a Delromi at a garage sale. Don't know anything about this type of bike. It looked in great shape but must be pretty old. I have a Raleigh cross trainer and thought the Delromi road bike would be a different ride. Something about it that I liked till I got it home. Now feeling a bit ripped off. I'm having problems taking the wheel off and on and disengaging the brakes. Any suggestions. Info? thanks Carrie

my dad bought me a Delromi as my first 10 speed when i was a 13 year old. we went to Englishtown in Freehold, NJ and i rode that damn thing everywhere. It's made in Belgium i believe. your problems aren't anything that can't be adjusted or replaced....but at what price? it's a basic cromo frame. does it fit you? what kind of riding are you looking at doing with it?

Hi, thanks for the fast response. This type of forum is new to me. The bike fit well I guess 26" and I paid $40. I'm expecting company in the next few weeks and figured I couldn't rent a bike for that price but got frustrated with the brake/wheel thing. The guy who sold it to me said it was made in Belgium. A lot of road bikes on Jupiter Island and thought I might like a switch from my cross trainer. The Delromi is still pretty heavy compared to the great bikes on the market now. I wonder if these bikes are still made. I guess I was intrigued by the Yellow color, fit and Italian name. Carrie

The main ride I have in mind is a nice 20 mile round trip along the ocean about a mile from my house. Quiet rich area, 2 lane road 35 mph limit. Lots of bikes go there and along the coast. The rich folks actually don't care too much for the packs of riders. They even had the cops out there once trying to give tickets for not stopping at a stop sign on the middle of that run. Caused a pile up/crash of bikers!
