Introductions - New to the Forum...Just bought Bitter

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello guys and gals, My name is Pete. I just bought a Fisher Bitter. I got the 06 model with the Manitou Splicer fork. I dont think it is the most durable fork that they have ever offered, but I got a pretty good deal on the bike. My LBS sold it as a closeout.

Anyway, I have read the forums about the Bitter and it is why I chose to buy it. I am not a big downhill rider or a big jumper, but I do like the fact that it is a big beefy bike. Hence my username. My user name is actually my nick name and when I found the bitter/mullet, I just knew it had to be mine.

Glad to be part of the forums, and thanks to all who have posted threads about the mullets and bitters that helped me decide on this bike.

Hi Pete! It's always nice to hear that kind of feedback about how BikeForums members helped you with your choice (that and the name, of course ;) ).

Where are you located?

Welcome to BF!

I am in Knoxville Tennessee. There are tons of greenways that we walk on and now that we have bikes, we are looking forward to riding them as well.
