Southern California - Mulholland Route Change

Just in case some of you don't read the website...
There's a slight change in the route this year. After the Decker Sticker Stop, instead of repeating the course on Mulholland, the route now turns right on Lechusa and Left on Encinal and rejoins Mulholland at the top of Encinal.

Also, PLEASE folks, DO study the suggested start times listed on the website. If you get to a CP before it opens, you'll waste time sitting there waiting for it to open. So, fast folks - this means YOU have to start later!

The first checkpoint technically opens for the Challenge at 8:30.
That said, if you're a fast rider, and you leave early, the issue isn't so much when the FIRST checkpoint opens, but when the FINISH LINE opens. The Finish Line anticipates a fast rider starting at 8am and taking 6.5 hours. That means 2:30pm. IF you're fast and you start at 6:30 or 7am, and you take 6.5 to 7 hours, you're going to sit at the Finish Line with the clock ticking against you... And your place in the KOM standings will suffer for that.
