Fort Wayne Trails - Fund Raiser and Match

If you are in and around the Fort Wayne, Indiana and utilize any of the pathways present, inccluding the River Greenway, this should be of interest.

The city is planning to match up to $500,000 in donations to the area paths for projects and tie-ends to all pathways collect through April 12, 2008.

The weather was on the wet and cold side, with spitting rain, westerly winds, and about 38 to 40 degrees f for the high of the day.

Event were well attended and the results reported were the goals met, and over $1.1 M raised in just over 4 weeks.

Plans will now included linking 4 pathway systems through the county and to link other county pathways helping to incorporate a state-wide network...
