Celebrated 54 trips around the sun yesterday, but didn't have time for a long ride. Today the rain held off and I headed out for a 56.5 mile clockwise loop around Whatcom County, averaging 16.3 mph. That's slightly faster than my 25-mile loop yesterday. Google route map at <http://tinyurl.com/5npj9f>. Overall a very nice ride, with just a little rain coming down Mosquito Lake Road. I took three modest rest and snack breaks at 18.8, 33 and 43 miles.

My son reminded me to stretch when I got home, and after that, a shower, dinner and a beer I feel pretty good. Tomorrow morning's yoga class may be another challenge, though.

Congratulations and thanks for reminding me that I will have to do the same next week--61 for me. Shouldn't be a problem. Rode 60.78 today, 62 a week ago Monday, 60 the week before that.
