My sliding glass door was bent inward the wrong way from the 70 to 80mph winds.
The couch is all wet, but we are safe.
One of the car-ports at our apartments fell down on all the cars under it. (not ours)

Yeah, I saw that weather on the Weather Chanel....it's supposed to get here to Indiana by this evening.

I didn't know there WAS a storm. But got over here to Euless, and there was a tree limb out on the road, and a couple of flagpoles here at work were bent over.
Sirens went off at about 4am, radar showed lots of shear markers over frisco (figure most of them
were right over my house) but we came out relatively unscathed.
I work in Irving (off freeport) lots of buildings without power, lots of tree limbs down
and traffic lights out on my way in ( Carrollton ).
We got it south of Fort Worth about 3am, the alarms went off and 30sec all Hell broke loose. Only damage my trees and and fence.
Hope everyone is ok.

Glad to hear you're okay, but that's got to have been nerve-wracking. The storms are supposed to hit our area today, but it looks as if we may skate on the bad stuff. We'll get some rain but are likely to avoid the ugly winds.
He is a pic my wife took. I know the fence was about to go anyway but a few of our neighbors new fences got it worse then mine. I think just about all of trees have been trimmed.

We appear to have come out of it unscathed. Trees limbs down in neighborhood, some traffic lights out, that made my 25 minute commute into an 1.5 hour adventure. Saw fences down, roofs off, trees demolished only a few miles from the house, so we got lucky.

Yeah all the tree fell away from my house, some of the people my neighbor where not so luck, probably need a few garage doors, roofs and windows on my block.
Lots of leaves, high-water debris and a few limbs littered our neighborhood, (east of WR Lake). The ride to work was fairly uneventful. Just had to dodge some of the same, along the way.
However, my office is on Beltline, right between 635 & 114. There are probably 9-12 downed telephone poles over here. Some were snapped off, clean at the ground, some are splintered and one is laying across the cab of a tractor-trailer rig. It was an awesome storm, (just glad I didn't get to witness it).
Hobartlemagne & Hos13, sorry about the damage. I feel very fortunate to have escaped it.

your about a mile from me now, I'm on Freeport by the Marriott. Lots of power out here
but alas my office has power although we have lost it twice since I've been here but only
for a minute or two.
Glad that everyone is okay, things can get replaced people can't

Uh oh, has anyone heard from Jon lately?
I'm glad to see that all of you are all right, but that carport doesn't look as if it will be serviceable ever again  .

Just spoke with Jon, he's ok no damage to his building but lots of limbs down in
his neighborhood.
Hey all, I'm alright. Lots of limbs and such down around the apartment this morning, but didn't see any damange to buildings or carports that I saw on my way out this morning. There was one limb that had fallen most of the way across the exit from the apartment's parking area. Guess it's good I took the truck this morning and was able to roll right over it.
Good to hear that you are all right.
Sounds as if I will have to make a special shortbread effort...humanitarian aid, and all that!

After repairing my fence and cutting up my trees, I'm good on firewood for the up coming Texas winter :)
Apparently my sister's apartment complex had a whole bunch of carports come down, thankfully she was parked under one of the few that stood through it all.
My complex lost many carports. Now I have more parking to choose from since they're gone.
(I didn't pay extra for covered parking)

What is this winter you speak of?
What is this winter you speak of?I think it's something they have up north. Scary things happen. Like the temperature drops below 50.
