Anybody have any opinions on the new Motobecane bikes? www.bikesdirect.com has some good deals on them.

I am thinking of switching from a hybrid to a road bike for my not very serious rides of 10-40 miles. My only concern with a road bike is my lower back which has given me trouble from time to time in my 41.5 years.

Was thinking that a frame geometry with the top tube at an upward angle from the seat to the handlebars as opposed to straight across (thought that would be easier on my back).

I am 5'11" with a 32" inseam. Thought I would get a 56cm frame.

Any help appreciated!!

look for the post about windsors. i actually suspect motobecane is the same company - and you won't find them sold anywhere but on bikesdirect.com lol.

that said, for an intro bike, it seems like a great deal (the groupos on them are close to the cost of these bikes). just be advised that the frame is probably a weak point and might not last for too terribly long.
