Had there been an actual Trash Emergency you would have been given specific instructions on how to deal with the Emergency Trash Situation.

Once per month we get to hear this over the site public address system.
"Hello, this is a test of the site wide public address system. If you are in an area where you cannot clearly hear this announcement, please call xxx-xxxx."
Even after 18 years, I laugh every time.

Reboot of mail server to rebuild log files that corrupted yesterday. During the maintenance window, the BRAND NAME/BRAND NAME mail system will be unavailable for use. Please be logged out of BRAND NAME prior to 12 noon.
Purpose of Service:
Rebuild corrupted log files.
Notification of Service Completion:
There is a possibility that the maintenance will be completed before 1:00 PM. IT will send an e-mail and a net message as soon as the mail server is available for use to all users.
Whom to Contact with Questions:
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. If you experience any information system problems, please submit a Help Desk ticket. If you require immediate assistance, please submit a Help Desk ticket and then call the Help Desk at extension XXXX to escalate your issue.

Only in my mind! I was just seeing whether or not I could send anything to 'Trash'. It seems that so far, I cannot.
