Unfortunately, the price of the Cannondale on ebay has been jacked! Up to $700 with 24hrs still left. With my budget and the need for what seems to be a million dollars worth of accessories, it looks like the Lemond Nevada City is the choice. BEFORE I BUY...if this bike is a good fit, again it's only $569 with aluminum frame, Shimano Tiagra/Sora (8-speed) components, STI shifting, CF fork, Alloy QR/Alex AT 450 wheelset, is there ANY reason I should not take this. It's within my budget, and again, I'm new, so keep that in mind when deciding if I'm going to notice any faults with the bike. I would like this to get me through my first couple years of riding, then I can upgrade if needed. What do you think?

Thank you,

Kevin

I'm not really impressed with the generic aluminum frame (non-butted) and is, IMO, not worth upgrading.

The Reno looks like a better frame and is 9speed which is cheaper to upgrade than the SORA 8 speed.

You might also consider looking at the Specialized line. Even their 550.00 Allez comes with the same DB premium frame as the $1200.00 Allez Elite.

Good luck!

Whatever you do, make sure it fits or you'll watch your investment take up space and nothing more.
