Hi,
I have been using GNC's E Complete 200. In additon to natural E it has a new variant of E called tocotrienol. Does anyone know if this stuff works? Or is it just more hype?

It is just one of two major groups of isomers of vitamin E;

tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta)
tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta)

Just more hype ;)

I buy the GNC mixed Tocotrienols 400 I.U and I think they help me but it might just be a matter of 'thinking'. Are you using it for your immune system or energy? I use a Panax GINSING, b12, vitmamin C and Q10 coenzyme also. I went from no energy (synthetic with caffeines) and have quit coffees altogether, the vitamins help me immensly and I've not had any illnesses since I have done these vitamins on routine. If you want to learn more about the Tocotrienols I have read a book by an author named: Jack Challem.
Hopefully I'm not being to wordy here. =)
Take care.

Hi,
Ginseng is usually considered an herb for men. I don't know if there is a reason for that. I do know it is traditional to take it for a while (say a month) and then stop.
I take a pill that has C, Calcium, and Zinc. Taking a little extra calcium might be a very good thing to consider.Fighting inflammation is a great idea; I wish i was better at it. Q10 is an antioxidant. As such, small amounts are good, the amount in a pill that has just CoQ10 might be too much of a good thing. I take a pill that has antioxidants extracted from about twenty fruits (CoQ10 comes from apples, I think).
Btw, the way to get ginseng is to go to a Chinese apothecary, and ask for the best they have. Don't be too surpised at the price (you will be!)...just buy $20 worth.
And start with a teeny,tiny piece!
