First off I'll say I have an appointment with my DR next week.
For about a month or so I have had a tender numbing feeling starting just above my right knee going up the front of my leg about 8 inches. Its not in the muscle (I don't think), It seems to be in the skin and fat layer under it. The rest of my leg feels just fine. I find that if I walk long distances that after about 3-4 miles straight the numb area starts feeling really hot (you can't feel the heat with your hands, I just feel it in my leg). But, I can go on long bike rides with no problems at all other then the numb feeling that is always there. There is no odd color, swelling, or weakness of any kind.
I'm just wondering if any one has an idea what this might be. From what I read online it sounds like the symptoms of a blood clot found in the calf of a person that was not active for a long time. This is not in my calf but I did have a job until the first of the year that had me sitting all the time and I never exercised for about 4 years. So that would almost fit. Any ideas?
