Hi everyone I have a Mountain Bike
Diamond Back Response Sport
and Its about a mile to school, and half mile to work
I dont like backpacks when I ride but if I must I will...
I am looking for something to go over the back tire to possibly hold my books if possible any ideas?
I have seen some things but I need something sturdy due to I like to jump things like curbs and off 2 -3 foot walls and I do not know if the racks I have found will hold up to that? and do not want to spend 100+ for it to break...
I dont care if it HAS to be top of the line long as it wont break if I jump off walls and embankments everyday...
Thank you!
Here's one solution (quick release bike racks) but a backpack is likely your only solution if you plan on 2-3 foot drop offs as well.

Suck it up and get a Chrome. I've been in fights wearing it (not ideal), much less various urban cycling antics.

So a backpack is prob the only idea huh? Ok any suggestions on that? I have seen the ones you throw over your shoulder... not to bad but kinda look girly but if they work woot

I prefer back packs for an even load on my shoulders but if you're looking for a messenger bag then
pac designs ultimate oversize

No problem - I have one of the TAD gear bags. There are other options though - check the commuting bag thread that I linked.

hey so I was thinking about it and will it like give me back problems if I wear a backpack alot with books in it and what not going amile to and from school everyday?
Maybe I have to ride easy so I can use the bike rack thing I mean it takes like decent bumps and stuff right? like curbs?
