Commuting - Hand me the Cheese Wiz and that box of Ritz..

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Just started snowing, isn't suppose to last, but damn it. I rode home last night in 46, yes 46F, at 2AM it was 46, it's now like 30, and snow showers.
Just had to get that off my chest, cause I started to think last night on the ride home, noticing where the trail was still wet after a day of sunshine. I may want to find a new route, as this one runs east to west, and doesn't get a lot of sunshine. I hadn't thought about that when I developed the route. What that means is it will probably be crunchy all winter, and that cornice stuff is hard to ride on.
So, when the weather turns are you abel to find alternate routes? I haven't tried the route I could take that is all roads and 5 miles shorter, only because I don't like the neighborhood it travels partway through. I figure the criminal elements won't be out in the cold though, just the idiots in the coffins.
And as long as I'm at it, I have to get a new rear tyre, this one's about dead, not bald yet, but on its way, and with the weather starting to turn it may be worth investing in new rubber.

Yeah, but I think I've exhausted all my alternates, now. The part I like most about the weather getting colder is that motorists' gazes go from disbelief to utter astonishment.

Have you been eating Cheetos while you are typing? Is that why your words are coming out orange?
:p

That storm blew through here at 3:00 P.M. yesterday! It snowed all night. I am happy to say its above freezing today and sunny. Most of the snow has melted! :D
It cannot snow over here til I get my studded winter tires made. I just bought a set of $54 MTB wheels (with Skewers) from Nashbar and going to make some studded tires with some old MTB tires. No snow or ice before it's time!

As I get perfect riding weather all year round :) I can't really comment, but I will say that the orange text is really a strain to read. Can you use a darker colour?

If the wind here is any indication of when you'll be getting snow from MN, I'd say you should be in for it in a day or two. The wind here is blowing like 30 MPH sustained with big gusts...and it's all headed east!

Yeah, but look at the price you have to pay-an island in the middle of nowhere, bands like Men At Work, high prices for goods, surrounded by people who speak with strange accents and.... Paul Hogan. Need I say more?
 ;)

Helps keeps out the riff-raff.
bands like Men At Work,;)
Now defunct, and I can think of far worse bands from either side of the Pacific. 'Business as Usual' is a classic. Besides, Colin Hay's a Scot.
high prices for goods, ;)
Yeah, that sucks. But the US economy's taking a bit of a hit right now. AUD up to 71c US.

I'm used to my wife's Canadian accent now.
... Paul Hogan.
He used to be good. At about the time he started to slide we sent him over there. Crocodile Dundee III was a mistake. Return to your roots Hoges - make Leo W@nker: The Movie.
Need I say more?
Jealousy's a curse ;)

Australian bands I like(d):
-HooDoo Gurus
-Midnight Oil
-Inxs
I have an Australian Shepard.
Is there a point to my post? Guess not. Just my 2 cents.
When I was riding today I wore shorts and a T-shirt and it was 65 degrees F. I hear it's dropping into the 20's as I type and snow is predicted in the morning.

I remember when he did those cigarette commercials... "Anyhow, have a Winfield!" ;)
