Bought it at the Como Bike Shop in St Paul, MN back in 1998. It has a big old "Made in the USA" sticker on the frame, and I think that they are still made here (although surely with a bunch of components from overseas). It has been a durable, good commuting bike, although I think that I may have to replace the rear wheel soon (I've broken two spokes in the last month; they've broken off at the hub).
