After a very short 8 years of waiting, I will answer the oldest question posted in this forum...
I vote for the 2000 Specialized Stumpy Pro. Yellow bikes rule! Too bad RoadRash is not around to enjoy this thread.http://img.epinions.com/images/opti/bf/3f/2000_Specialized_Stumpjumper_XC_Pro-bikes.jpg

Ha ha, I just spit pop all over my monitor
Haha! My vote's for the 2000 Specilaized BigHit. This was the first one . . . and before it became that mongrelized cockapoo thing with the 24" rear wheel:

I had that bike! I put an Atom Bomb on the front, along with an Avid mech disc. That was one sweet ride...

My vote is for the cannondale rush carbon 3Z. Why you ask? Because it's the most tuned in bike I've ridden off the showroom floor, I can't stop smiling every time I ride, and it doesn't have that retarted one side front shock that the rush 2 and team replica have.

That bike was really ahead of it's time back in 2000. ;)
