Ace upgrades! Looks really great.
Just curious about the mudguard though - with it that short, it won't do anything to keep the water off you...?

it does prevent sand from getting onto the seat post..water not so much..as i seldom ride on rainy days..
Nice upgrades - I really like the lines on that bike. :)
e.g. the way the "top tube" sort of flows into the rear arching seatstays...
I just don't like the rack braze ons, but I have the same problem...
(*the colour is good too... not pea green!)

Hi Foldie,
Hey that's a real mean road machine!
I've also been thinking about upgrading my Batavus folder (which looks amazingly similar to some Dahon:D) to a 9-speed, replacing the cheap SRAM derailler which drags rather heavily by a higher group Shimano component.
Because my largest sprocket is 32 teeth, I figured I could not use a road derailler (they can only handle 28 or so teeth in the back). And I fear a Deore will get even closer to the road surface as the cage is rather long. A road group is always shorter and in folders that means sweeter.:)
Are you using a road casette with the 105 combined with a smaller bracket? What size of bracket are you using, is that somewhere in the higher 40-ies?
Bye

i'm currently using shimano ultegra road casette with shimano 105 road deraileur..use short cage derailleur for smooth and responsive shifting..you've to find out if your wheel set can take a 9 speed casette, then you should be able to turn yours into a road machine too..

Nice upgrade - congrats indeed. Thks for sharing....
You seem to enjoy speed - did you consider the Stelvios or Kojaks? They would give you much better performance on dry roads. My old Helios got a tire upgrade from std Marathons to Stelvios and it flew!
