We should have a new look / style / colors to the forums later tonite, once up and running, please give me feedback, both good and bad, and changes you would like to see in this thread. I'll update the look later tonite and tomarro morning.

I hope you all like it! (it wont be purple... sorry!)

This look is good and I'm sure any look would be fine just as long as the forums are back up. Thanks for your hard work in getting them back up and running Joe. :)

I can't seem to find where we can mark all posts read when we are done. Is this feature not here anymore or am I as blind as everyone says I am?

How do I add a custom status to my profile? I don't seem to have that option.

I love the new look.
Keep up the good work

:D

Love the new look. Very sleek.

Now that I'm posting though there one thing. Can the default text height in the box for typing posts be made a bit bigger? Is it a preference I can change? It's a bit hard to read on my 1600x1200 resolution monitor. the size we had before was good.

Personally I think it ought to be made to exactly resemble Oracle Developer, that way the boss might think I'm occasionally doing some work :D

HEY! As a life-long LSU Tiger fan, I have to take exception to those remarks about the color purple! We've got three generations of LSU graduates in our family so show some respect! :D I've even ordered some LSU team (cycling) jerseys and shorts, and I may paint a bike purple and gold.

AND purple is one of the colors of Mardi Gras (purple, green, gold). Ya gotta love that!

Seriously, though, folks, the new format looks great. Thanks for all your hard work, Joe!
Regards,
Raymond

Last night I tried to log on, but there was the message that the forums was being upgraded. I just couldn't wait to log on this morning to see what there was to be. It looks great, Joe. The reverse colors on the screen that I am typing on is a bit different, but good.

Pssst....that was me who suggested the user profile picture. You can thank me later. :D

Stick around awhile. You'll probably learn more than you wanted to know! An certain people will tell you more than you ask. J/K but they know who they are.

BTW, thanks for the help with the New and Improved Bike Forums!

What kind of bike do you have? Does your GF/Fiance/soon to be wife have a bike?

Must have more info...........

Joe,
Are you going to have "sponsors" like before (Performance)?
While the forums were down, I ordered $300 worth of bike stuff from them you didn't get credit for. Sorry. :(

Somewhat... With a twist :) It wont be with banner ad's, rather then text links above each thread, these will be both sponsor (paid) links, and link exhcnages with other cycling sites...

Right now im talking to a rather large (well known) cycling company about donating products for give aways to forum members and partner sites, more news about this in the near future! :)

Somehow I missed the button "New posts since you last signed on" which I love, as I get to see all the exciting things that people have posted since the last time I was here.

I know it must be there somewhere - can someone point me (so to speak) in the right direction.

Also, beause of the lost posts, I was demoted from "Senior Member" to "member." Have you no mercy, Joe??

Just to let everyone know that Captain Crunch has replaced mccubbin as my login name. Thanks to Joe for allowing the change amongst all the other changes he is going through these days.

The name was given to me the other day by my massage therapist. It was the first time seeing her and when I was on the table and she started to work on my shoulders she commented on how "crunchy" I was. As she continued to do other body parts she said "Wow, you are Captain Crunch" After we finished laughing I decided that I liked the name so much that I wanted to use it as my login. I feel much better since the massage and will be returning for more.

I wonder if it will make me a better biker.? :D
