Not sure, I have ridden the canyon (while open to cars) and it's a very scenic ride.

Traffic free, makes that a very appealing ride. I may hop up there.

Oh, that is soooo tempting.

Do you normally see the wild sheep along the way?

Wow, there was a ram in there! I've only ever seen the ewes when we've gone through. And I don't think I've ever seen Balds there--Goldens, yes, Balds, no.

Looks great, but I'm already committed to the Tour de Cure in Redmond on the 17th, maybe next year. As much as the Tour means to me, its gonna cost me way more to get there than I'm gonna raise :(

When I got home yesterday the flyer for the ride was in my mail. They also have a ride around Yakima on the 17th.

I will be doing this ride with my sister and her husband this year. I am looking forward to it. I bought and started riding my bike last summer and this will be my first bike tour. I think it is going to be great fun and a beautiful ride.

What a nice looking ride. It's just too darn far to drive.

Side note: Dolce girl: I just started riding last year too and own 2 lovely Dolces :)

Here our my pics of "Your Canyon for a Day!"

Going to E-burg we averaged about 13 mph due to nasty wind. On the way back we averaged 22 mph and cruised. It was great fun. Now I know I can do longer rides, prior to this the furthest I had gone was around 13 miles, don't think I am ready for a Century, but maybe someday.

My sister had a flat as soon as we pulled her bike out of the truck even though it had been inflated the night before. We called ourselves Team Nincompoop. We completed the ride in just under 3 hours with 2 hours 25 minutes ride time. Can't wait until next year.
