Hi. I just bought a lightly used Ironhorse AT35. I realize it's no extreme bike, but I was wondering if anyone had a clue how much this sells for new. The kid wanted beer money and offered it for $40. I have a feeling I came out on the better end of this, but I was curious if anyone knew how much better (so I can brag) :-) Thanks.

A search on google returned no results, a picture would be key in this situation.

This looks like the Ironhorse Outlaw (http://www.ironhorsebikes.com/bikes/outlaw.shtml) bike. Perhaps yours is an older model.. and the name was changed this year.

mtbr.com's got a 1999 outlaw listed... they've also got some at series bikes listed, but they're all rigids. probably the best thing to do would be to contact iron horse themselves and ask what the msrp for that bike was.

Dont go contacting anybody, you can tell from the picture how much the bike is worth. I would say you paid about 1/4 or so of what the bike is worth, so you did good.

I've never heard of Iron Horse bikes but looking at their history (www.ironhorsebikes.com) is impressive. They had BMX legends like Toby Henderson, and Pete Lancarevich riding for them.
Looking at becklion's bike from the photo, the frame looks sweet for starters. Certainly not outdated looking by any means.
Beautiful paint scheme (rivals any paintjob in Specialized's line up), and serious touches like the headtube gusset on the down tube, and the nifty seat stays reminiscent of a MOOTS Rigormootis, or old school Mongoose BMX...NICE!
Er, just get rid of the reflectors. ;)

Iron Horse makes a good bike. Looking at the pic it seems to be one of there lower end rigs though. Yeah, you did come out on top but watch out riding it. It may be stolen if all the kid wanted was beer money.
You may want to run the serial numbers and check. If it is stolen you will get the blame unless you give it up. Sucks but that is how it goes.
If not, it will be a nice ride for light duty mountain biking or a comuter.

From the pictures, I'm guessing the bike (when new) sold for about $250 to $350. So, if you only paid $40, you definately did well!
Enjoy!

Ironhorse does make good bikes, yes ;)
That is why I ride an Ironhorse Desperado. For the $380 US, or so (after conversion from $500 Canadian), it beats any bike component wise in it's price group.

yeah, my bf thought of the stolen thing too, so i ran the serial numbers with the cops and the description too and they said it was clean, at least around here.
thanks everyone for the appraisals, i'm excited to ride it around gloating now.
...i'll get those relflectors off asap... ;-)
