Commuting - Any feedback/experience with these panniers?

I like the sizing. They look nice and arn't that large. I'm assuming that is 12L total as in 6L per side? Or is that 12L per side?

Does anyone have this product? How is it? How well does it hold up on the bike? I'm looking for something small and that looks to be the smallest I've seen out there. I'm looking to compliment a bike of mine but not making it bulky. That size/look is what I want (more of a need as I plan on riding more and using it for holding small things). I primarily use a Deuter Exp. Race Air backpack and love backpacks. Tho I will be carrying the lighter items in my backpack and some of the heavier items in the panniers should I make a small pit stop att the grocery store on the way back.

Thankd for the help in advance. I openly welcome any other links to other panniers of similar look/style/size. I would prefer 12L max in size per side. That Nashbar pannier looks like a one piece unit which I like because then when I take it off the bike I can carry one unit and not fuss over two items while I leave the bike for an extended period of time.

Those panniers look nice, and for that price they are a good buy. But I'm no expert.

They (it?) looks great for a variety of uses. When you don't have too much stuff, a single bag would be even more convenient than the linked bags you posted. And when you do have stuff, it expands.

I have those panniers and like them. They are small and form a one-piece unit, so they are easy to put on and take off. I don't actually use them for commuting (though they would be fine for that), I use them for small day trips. I don't think I've seen any smaller than that, so since small is what you want, I recommend that you get them.

The one's I've been using have held up well. Some of the metal bits are rusted, but they have been used daily throughout the winter (any weather). Mine are two years old. For the price, I would buy them again in a second. I don't see why the ones your looking at wouldn't be similar.

However, look at the size carefully. I wouldn't want to go much smaller than the version I got. In the winter, packing a bunch of extra supplies came in handy. especially if the weather was transitional...

How badly does the build up of the road debris and such build up on thr material of the panniers? I was thinking of getting that 6L x 2 one piece for my training rides to keep tools, first air, etc on the rack then in the pockets of the pants.

Also what material is the pannie made out of? Is there any rain/stain protection spray applied on it?

BTW how well does silicone spray work on panniers in general? WIll the silicone spray lessen the effects of the reflectors on the pannier by making them foggy or something?
