Does it count if I really am ill?
I have been fighting some reoccurring lower back problems, I hope I'm better by Wednesday :D

Funny....I feel quite the opposite. In fact I think I need to work more this week. Of course that will mean longer commutes as well....

Maybe mother nature is telling you something. Perhaps if you know from which direction these 30 mph winds are blowing, you could pay someone to drop you off 50 miles from your house in that direction.
Presto! Instant RAIN '07 flashback.
I gotta admit it's hard being a genius, but I cope pretty well.

I planned for the wind to drive me home today. I get 20 miles with a 20mph tailwind. Sucks to be me....

I hate wind. It's not going to stop me though, just inflated the tires and got everything ready on my lunchbreak. As soon as I'm home from work, I'm riding. My after-work route is a big loop, so I'll get 1/4 wind in the face, 1/4 wind at my back, and 1/2 crosswind. Of course, I'm sure it will somehow defy physics/rationality and be in my face the entire time.

Rode down to Batavia into the wind and it sucked, but man was the ride back sweet..
I really am a little ill/sick but the wife has planned on working in the shop tomorrow so I have the day off. I plan on heading south in to the wind and then riding it back home. We will see how I feel but hopefully I can get 60-80 miles in.

30 to 40 miles into a 30 mph wind. you my friend clearly have your HTFU card. the wind and work seem to the cure for my sickness. meaning, it doesnt look good for me and the bike. in fact, the next time i have a chance to ride may very well be the BFNIC Spring Classic on 4/27. this very much saddens aham23. later.

Not to worry. He'll pull a sub 5 hour century out of his ***** a few days before New Glarus for sure. He always finds a way.
Fastest commute of the year so far this afternoon. I was f'n flying. That tailwind was nice. Everything kept getting quiet around 20 mph so I assume that is how hard the wind was blowing.
