I'm pretty sure this isn't the place to ask, but other than classic & vintage i wasn't sure where to turn...
I have a trek y-foil i'm having re-painted (galaxy gray, incidentally).
I'd like to have the decals reproduced (as i highly doubt i'll be able to find originals).
i figure the best way to do this is to lift the original decals from the frame (they're above the paint, fortunately) and send them to be reproduced. Not having much luck with a razor (i keep cutting into the decal)...
Can anyone recommend a technique for removing the decals without destroying them? I'm wondering if there's a chemical used for this type of thing.
ALSO: does anyone have advice for a place that does good decal reproduction? i'd like to avoid spending an arm and a leg, but i'd also like to have good stuff to send off with the frame (the latter is far more important, of course!).
Thanks in advance
