Am I the only one that these insects are attracted to? Do regular commuters on this forum face similar situations? What do you do? I've already been a victim 3 or 4 times: Eyes, mouth and nose. They seem to want to get in my way. While on a fast pace, this is very annoying. Remedies, Suggestions? Thanks.

It's still too early in the year for me to have problems with bugs. Protecting your eyes is the easiest, glasses, nose and mouth a little harder, when I swallow a bug I just consider it a protien boost. ;)

take a route with less shade or that takes you away from water.

Not bicycling per say, but once I was riding my motorcycle up the Natchez Trace when wasp flew up the sleeve of my jacket, up the sleeve of my t-shirt, and bit me right between the shoulder blades while I was traveling at 50 mph. It's amazing how much pain you can endure when the possibility of still greater pain exists. :eek:
