Road Bike Racing - Avoiding Roubaix Results (No spoilers, I mean it)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I decided I could go 7 days without:
-going to velonews.com, cyclingnews, etc
-listening to any bike podcasts made since Sunday
-gingerly reading BikeForums, team emails, etc.
-warning everybody I might come across who into bikes not to spill the beans
But damn BSNYC almost got me, maybe. I opened it up, and saw some bad keywords and immediately closed it. I will not repeat any of them, and I doubt I got anything and even if I did, not knowing is as good as not getting them. Ugh, 5 more days.
Am I the only one trying to live on a restricted internet diet until Versus shows the race?
btw, no freakin spoilers of any kind in this thread please :D
**warning, there are posts below which contain hints which may or may not be spoilers from other BF'ers. ugh

im trying to hold out....but im thinking about giving in.
Haha, I'm trying the same plan. Only thing bike related I am looking at for the next week is BF. I'll let you know how it goes :)
There was a member of our club that sent out a group e-mail right after the race ended. The subject line said "...wins Paris Roubaix!!!! Beats ....!!!!"
I couldn't believe it, I did have a chance. My reply to her was simply "thanks, I had planned on watching it later but now I guess I don't have to". She told me I was welcome. Later on after she received an e-beating from everyone else in the club she realized what she had done and apologized.
No harm done though I guess, she's still an asset to the club.
But... Oh, I don't know. One way to do it... Nope, that's not it. Enough of this. Never will I tell.
You know you are asking to hear the winner by posting this thread, right? I won't tell you who won, but I'm betting someone will.

I actually enjoy reading the live text more than watching the show (even after the fact). Cyclism is great in and of itself, but it's not the depth of coverage I want.
My vote is that you're gonna get boned my someone who accidentally spills the beans.

Cyclism? Are they on VS? Never saw it. Could be good, you never know. Except, I hate the speakers. Ligget lost his touch. Lost it I say. A long time ago. Really, the guy should quit. Any ideas who should take over?

Boned? Are you sure they'd do it accidentally? Look at the past history of the forum. Lots of people enjoy spilling it. Always happens. Now is not the time to change.

You need to stay off the internet to accomplish this. I've gone a few days, but a week is tough.
But that is a positive about our sport, at least in the U.S. We stand a good chance of not having our delayed viewing of sporting spectacles spoiled unless we chose so.

La la la la la. I can't hear you.

Maybe what I meant to say is that while climbing a hill this weekend my weight shifted too far forward and the back wheel stedt'ed .... Gotta learn to keep my weight over the rear wheel or I will crash
I was riding with a dude this weekend who chin got caught got scraped by a cycling cap, right after he stopped to pee.

To those who are posting hints, true or false. I am sorry that you did not get to enjoy Santa & the Easter Bunny like the rest of us, but really, it's not our fault. Get therapy :P
Flame away, I'll check back on this thread on Sunday.

Since you don't know, who do you think won?
I almost hid from the results, but I figured I'd rather enjoy the conversation with other people this week about the race. I doubt many will still be talking about it next week.

I did. Until I was about 7.

I have just as much fun watching a bike race knowing who the eventual winner will be. So spoil away weenies. Pcad will be recording the race either way, and he will have the popcorn ready for when he watches it. OK, it's bike racing season, so the celery, but you get the idea.

Luckily(?) I already accidentally happened upon the results( and then watched the highlights).

I tried to hold out going to velonews, but I got too bored at work and spoiled it for myself. Still looking forward to watching it on Sunday though.

Still, nobody knows? Impressive, my friend. Impressive.
Botto's nuts. Only he can get away with it. Only he could think of it. Nobody else. Everybody missed it. Not one got it?

I somehow held out, and I am glad I did. Wow, 7 days of Bike related interweb to catch up on.

You also missed the fact that I wrote down who podium'd in posts 6, 10, and 11.
