I thought about doing the 16 with my daughter in tow. But she was complaining on our last 10 miler that her butt hurts. I think I need to find some bike shorts for a her gentle behind.

ouch!!, she's not riding with bike shorts?... bad Daddy!! j/k It's probably too late (for the weekend) to order these online, but you can think about getting her some Sheebest triple SSS shorts for the future. Alot of ladies like this particular brand (Triple SSS). They can be a bit pricey, but if you watch for a sale, you can find a good one.

In the meantime, maybe Dick's can offer her something for this coming weekend. Hope to see you out there!!

We looked at the trek store last weekend since they had a few shorts, but will be looking at Kozy's tomorrow to see what we can find for my little 5 year old.

She certainly enjoys the rides being towed around. But so far I had no success in teaching her riding her bicycle on her own. Maybe this summer. It took two summers with my son as well. Slow and steady wins the race :)

So far, I'm 80% in for doing this ride tomorrow. The other 20% of family opposition that hasn't surfaced yet.

I'm coming!!!! I was debating between this ride and the TT series but I really want to ride long. I plan to ride the longest route. Will be ready to roll out by 8:00.

Now it's up to 95%. I'm packing my stuff and going to the inlaws who live closer to there. My mother-in-law will get up early and make pancakes for me. She's a total sucker like that.

Man... the day could have not been better. What a nice ride that was.
I only did the 16 miler with my daughter in tow, my 10 yr old son and my wifey on their bikes.
It was the first really long bike ride for my sonny boy and he mastered it without too much trouble. Only on the way back on the uphill before the University he had to get off the bike in the middle of the hill after I yelled encouragement to get him up the hill. He will eventually get stronger. :D
Got a little bit of a sunburn, but nothing too bad. The SAG stop on the 16 mile ride was really great. Lot's of goodies and the chili, that stuff was good!
Great ride all around.

Wasn't that cruel at the end!!! HA Great day to be out with the family. I loved it too. That sag stop you were at was the last one on the long routes. Fabulous! I just posted a separate thread for ride reports. Could have just put it here, I guess.

yep it was sure a great day, beautiful weather!! SmokinMiles, totally nice to see you again, you rock.
and Scummer... I think I saw you walk in with your daughter? I was working the registration table and saw a tall man with a tiny young girl holding her Daddy's hand... wondering if that was you? I was going to call out "scummer", and then thought "okay, that's not his name, LOL". It was a little later in the morning, say around 9:00ish? In any case, hope you guys enjoyed the ride. I think we had close to 1,000 rides, great turnout!!! :)

Hmm... I was there around 9:30am for the registration. I honestly can't remember if I walked in with my daughter or if she stayed with her mom.
My daughter was dressed in pink bike shorts and a pink bike shirt, while I was in black Pearl Izumi's with a white long sleeve shirt, which stated that I was a Cure for Diabetes rider in training :D
It could have been me, because I really didn't see anyone else with a one-wheeler tow package and such a little girl being towed around.

So that was your rig! I saw you there. :) I was driving SAG on the 16/28/38 routes and delivered my first customer back to GSU about the time you were pulling out.
