Been road biking for about 30 years. Member of the Wheeling Wheelmen and the CATS (Chicago Area Tandem Society) with my wife and trusty stoker. We ride mostly locally, but will do an occasional car trip with the Tandem (Santana Arriva) for an organized tandem rally. We are currently considering an upgrade to our 10-year old Santana; perhaps a Co-Motion Robusta or Macchiato, or a Calfee.
I am retired and love the freedom to ride when I want to - although Chicago kind of limits the season to 8-9 months.
