Hi everyone,

I've just started biking to work on a hopefully more frequent basis. I'm riding a 1999 or 2000 (not sure) Giant Rincon that I bought new, but it hasn't seen all that much action over the years. I swapped out the original knobbies for some kind of cheap 26x1.95 trail tires (minimal tread in the middle with a bit of knobby on the edges) a few years ago and I just added a Topeak Explorer rack last weekend. I should receive my PlanetBike 60mm Hardcore ATB Freddy Fenders and Closeout 2006 Arkel T42 Pannier tomorrow. My commute is only around 2 miles, but I wanted to remove all the simple excuses for not riding.

My two kids are 3 and 4 and enjoy riding their bikes up and down the street and to the neighborhood park. We live just off a really nice bike trail, so I'm hoping we can get the whole family out for some longer rides this summer. Anybody have any experience with the Trail-Gator?

The plan is to ski all winter and ride all summer.

Hi John, ah the joys of living in a place full of blood sucking insects :D . At least in the winter there's no bugs, even if there's snow and cold!

You might try asking about the Trail-Gator in the Recreational and Family Cycling forum.

Welcome to BF!
